Belabumbum Partners With the OCNA!
We have some very BIG news to share with all of you, our lovely Belas.
Earlier this summer we teased about an exciting partnership with the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance [link] and the time has finally come to spill the details!
Ovarian cancer is a major health issue affecting millions of women worldwide, as well as their families and loved ones. To honor these brave warriors who wage a daily battle against the disease and fight to find a cure, Belabumbum has joined forces with the OCNA on a number of projects during the month of September, the official Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.
Please visit the OCNA’s 30 Days of Teal Calendar [link] for all the details on their mont long series of events, including our 'Pin Your Best Teal' Pinterest contest which begins September 2nd.
Exciting, right? We know! But there’s still more! In an effort to incorporate what we do best into this collaboration, we have a designed a limited edition 'Supporting Women From Top to Bottom,' teal camisole and panty set [insert link]. As if this wasn’t news enough, Miss USA 2013 Erin Brady just became our newest model, wearing the two pieces in the OCNA’s latest photoshoot.
Teal, the official color for ovarian cancer awareness, was our inspiration, palette and starting point for the set. In support of breast cancer we also wove in some subtle pink details. Given that cancer does not discriminate or affect only a specific slice of the female population, we wanted to create a set that was universally flattering on women of all ages and body types.
All these things considered, after months of joyous work, we are finally ready to release our beautiful two-piece set, made from soft jersey and delicate lace. We understand that even the bravest of warriors need to indulge themselves every once in a while; we can think of no better way to feel stylish and pampered while doing good than in this set.
We are beyond thrilled to formally announce this amazing partnership and cannot wait to see all the positive change we can effect together, Belas. With your help we hope to raise both awareness and financial support for OCNA so they can continue to advocate for women with ovarian cancer, educate women and healthcare practitioners, and push for more ovarian cancer research to develop an early detection test and treatment protocols.
Please stay tuned for more details over the next few weeks about all of our amazing plans for this collaboration!
