No experience highlights the extremes of the fashion industry better than a photoshoot. Lights, cameras, makeup, and beautiful models all collide to create a gorgeous set of images. Behind the scenes, however, a dedicated team works from 7 AM to midnight, steaming garments, re-styling stray hairs and making last minute prop changes. It's a frenzied and exhilarating time that comes about twice a year. A few weeks ago we were fortunate enough to have a very special guest at our latest shoot for our Fall/Winter 14 collection: mommy blogger extraordinaire, Jessica Shyba. We're sure you've seen her series of viral snapshots (#theoandbeau) capturing the special moments between her adorable toddler and puppy. Having Jessica as our model for the day was the most amazing experience, and fortunately one of many to come. Via her fabulous site, Momma's Gone City, Jessica recently announced that she is once again expecting. This makes baby number four for Jess, affording her a very special chance to sit back, enjoy the ride and get back to her Belabumbum. We hope that she savors every minute of this special time and truly indulges herself – whether that means putting on her comfiest Belabumbum PJs, reading a good book while soaking in the tub, or just contemplating the beauty of her navel. We're so thrilled and honored to announce that over the next few months we'll be collaborating with Jessica to share some highlights of this exciting time in her life . She's naturally gorgeous, simply stylish and makes having it all look easy; yet when we read her heartfelt blog, we fully understand just how much love and effort she puts into raising her beautiful family.
