There's a palpable excitement in the air at Belabumbum HQ this week, as we get ready to dive headfirst into your 'Pin Your Best Teal' submissions. Over the past teal-filled 29 days we have received a record number of boards dedicated to raising awareness for Ovarian Cancer. We and the lovely ladies of Ovarian Cancer National Alliance have been so touched and thrilled by all of your efforts. Many of you took the simple teal theme and soared with it, showing us your creative streaks, unique personalities and individualized views of the world. Many pinners were motivated for deeply personal reasons and some of you dedicated your boards to a loved one who fought or is continuing to fight Ovarian Cancer . We saw everything from nail art, to architecture, to wildlife, all colored that heavenly hue we've become so familiar with over the past month. We can't say enough how impressed we were by your efforts. We know that between Belabumbum and the OCNA we have the most amazing pool of supporters, so we should have probably expected to have our expectations blown out of the water. (Our bad!) Ovarian Cancer is of course a very serious disease that affects millions worldwide. Through your boards you have shed light on this important topic by channeling your imaginations, and raising awareness in the process. We of course wish all 365 days of the year could be teal-filled, but for today your boards stand as a testament to our solidarity as a community to defeat this awful disease.
