Pack Your Hospital Bag with Tips from a Pro
We recently partnered with Mandy, a childbirth expert, founder of Momma Society and Birth Prep, and a soon-to-be mama of three, to bring you a look inside her hospital bag. “The third time's the charm” as they say. This seasoned mama knows exactly what you need in your hospital bag. Read on for her recommendations.
Mandy recommends carrying all of your important documents in a manila envelope. Most importantly, don't forget your driver's license and insurance cards and bring a few copies of your birth wishes to share with your nurses.
Then pack for yourself. Mandy is taking our Lounge Chic PJ + Robe set with her to the hospital to change into after the birth of little one. One of our most popular hospital bag essentials, the Lounge Chic set includes pants, a nursing tank and a robe to keep comfy, but still pulled together for when visitors arrive to meet your new baby. When it's time to go home, she'll change into our Tallulah Mesh Nursing Bra and a loose-fitting dress. If you prefer pants to dresses, our Anytime Athleisure collection includes several great options, including our Henley Romper and Foldover Joggers in soft terry fabric to keep you comfortable before and after baby.
Beyond what she'll need to wear, Mandy offers a list of important necessities you'll want to have with you at the hospital:
We've shared the highlights of what Mandy is packing in her hospital bag for herself because we're focused on what you need, mama, and we hope you'll do the same! For a look at her recommendations for newborn layette pieces and baby gear and advice for your hospital stay, head over to her blog.
